Illinois Housing Development Authority to host outreach event

BLOOMINGTON - The Illinois Housing Development Authority wants to help residents fight foreclosures. The group will host a homeowner outreach day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Mid Central Community Action, 1301 W. Washington St., Bloomington.

Attendees will have the opportunity to get one-on-one review or counseling sessions with lenders and attend workshops.

Homeowners should bring the following documents: last mortgage statement, closing or refinance documents, list of any other mortgages or liens against the property, property tax and insurance information, monthly expenses, monthly income, two pay statements for each borrower, most recent Social Security award letter for each borrower, child support check stub or statement or court order, bank statements from the last two months and a list of other assets.

They also should bring all delinquency correspondence, notices and documents, if applicable.
