Jason Emerson, from upstate New York,  has been a steady contributor to historical research and writing about the life and times of Abraham Lincoln and his family. He will talk about all his books, including his newest: Lincoln’s Lover: Mary Lincoln in Poetry. Emerson has previously written The Madness of Mary Lincoln, The Dark Days of Abraham Lincoln’s Widow,  As Revealed by Her Own Letters, as well as compiled more than 190 original documents that relate to her widowed life in Mary Lincoln’s Insanity Case: A Documentary History. He was highly praised and honored for his 2013 book about Abraham and Mary’s oldest son, Giant In The Shadows: The Life of Robert T. Lincoln, which has also been optioned for a movie. He has also written Lincoln The Inventor and numerous articles and book reviews.
