Learn to Improve Your Emotional and Physical Health
Our emotional health can have a serious effect on our physical health, according to vast scientific literature. Being angry all the time, as well as feeling constantly anxious, can make us susceptible to a variety of illnesses, including stroke, heart disease and even diabetes. For instance, research shows that laughter increases a positive mood and boosts the body’s immune system
The Mind, Body, Spirit workshop will help participants learn how improving their emotional health can lead to better physical health. The workshop is scheduled for Friday, April 20, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. – 12 noon at the Life Together Center 3601 N. Sheridan Road in Peoria, Illinois. Strategies for coping will be discussed as well as techniques to increase joy and happiness in one’s life.
The workshop will be facilitated by Sharon Mindock. LCPC and Pam Gottschalk, LCSW. Both have worked in the mental health arena for many years helping individuals heal using wholistic practices. Seating is limited so early registration is encouraged. To register go to: www.mindockcounseling.com.
