CLINTON — Voters in DeWitt County will decide a number of races in Clinton and Wapella when they cast ballots April 7.
Most of the Pantagraph-area contested races are for school board members. Many other seats are uncontested.
Clinton voters will decide between Roger Cyrulik and Carolyn Peters for mayor. Running for commissioner, public health and safety, are Jerry Milton and Dan Ballenger. Running for commissioner, streets and public improvements, are Mike Bray and Nan Crang.
In the village of DeWitt, voters will choose two trustees from among Donna Driscoll, Leo Mollet and Ted Nichols.
In Wapella, Elizabeth Weikle and Kim Yearry are running for the unexpired term of clerk. Seeking three open trustee seats are Mark Miller, Jane Buraglio, Robin Morrow, Rosalie Summers, Nancy Falk and John Goergen.
Running for an unexpired trustee term are Vernon Meadows and Dale Karr.
Seeking three seats on the Blue Ridge School Board are Elizabeth Foulks, Kelly Nichols, Dale Schneman, Ruth Bolton-Slusser, Curtis Homann and Matthew Althaus.
On the Clinton School Board, an unexpired term is sought by Russell Long and Mike Walker. Running for four full-term seats are Evan Severson, Mitchi Tucker, Nancy Stokowski, Chris Hammer, Traci Golden, John Blythe, Ron Conner and Rodney Rogers.
Seeking four seats on the multi-county Heyworth School Board are Jennifer Patrick, Justin Johnsen, Kelli Rewerts, James Monteggia and Phil Stielow.
