BLOOMINGTON - Up-and-coming country star Luke Bryan will open for Trace Adkins in a concert at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 8 in Bloomington's U.S. Cellular Coliseum.
General admission tickets are $39.75 and are now on sale via regular Coliseum box office channels.
A year ago, the Capitol Records Nashville artist was named one of Billboard magazine's "New Faces to Watch in 2007," the only country performer selected for the honor.
His debut album, "I'll Stay Me," and its accompanying single, "All My Friends Say," proceeded to make waves during the year.
Previously, Bryan had made a name as a songwriter, penning songs for other artists, including Travis Tritt and Billy Currington, the latter who had a No. 1 hit with Bryan's "Good Directions."
As a performer, Bryan has opened shows for Brooks & Dunn, Sugarland and Capitol Records label-mate Dierks Bentley, among others.
