Rodney Carrington in Champaign
A rock triple-header for the U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington and a pair of Central Illinois dates for comedian-singer Rodney Carrington are in the offing this winter.
Coming to the Coliseum at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 20 are 3 Doors Down, Seether and Safetysuit.
Tickets are $29.50 and $39.50, and go on sale at 10 a.m. Jan. 10 at the venue's box office and area Ticketmaster locations.
The latest self-titled album by 3 Doors Down debuted last May at No. 1 on Billboard's top albums chart, making it the group's second consecutive No. 1, following 2005's "Seventeen Days."
The band hit the pop mainstream nearly nine years ago with their first album, "The Better Life," and its string of singles, including "Kryptonite," "When I'm Gone" and "Here Without You."
Seether is one of the rare grunge rock bands to claim South Africa as their origins, while Safetysuit, hailing from Nashville, scored an alt-rock hit with "Someone Like You," off their current debut album.
The Carrington shows are set for 7 p.m. Jan. 22 at the Virginia Theater in Champaign and 7 p.m. March 13 in the Peoria Civic Center Theater in Peoria.
Tickets for the Champaign show are $39.75, and can be reserved at the Virginia box office.
Seats for the Peoria performance are priced at $40.25, and are available via the Peoria Civic Center box office and area Ticketmaster locations.
Both shows are already on sale.
