CHAMPAIGN - One concert has been added and two have been removed from the University of Illinois' winter-spring concert slate.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 7) for a New Kids on the Block reunion concert coming this spring to the University of Illinois Assembly Hall in Champaign.
The famed boy band last performed at the venue in 1990, the year they were listed as Forbes magazine's highest paid entertainers of the year.
The return date is set for 7 p.m. April 5, with tickets priced from $42 to $59 via the Assembly Hall box office and area Ticketmaster outlets.
The New Kids reunion tour was a success around the world in 2008, and has been continued through 2009.
All five original members - Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood, Joey McIntyre, Jordan Knight and Jonathan Knight - are on board.
Meanwhile, two winter-spring performances at the U of I's Krannert Center in Urbana have been cancelled, including Tuesday night's performance by classical pianist Ingrid Fliter.
Fliter's cancellation is a due to an arm injury that prohibits her from performing at this time.
Also off the Krannert schedule is a May 2 concert featuring jazz saxophonist Joshua Redman. The reason given is due to a change in the musician's management "that led to a miscommunication on several performance dates."
Full refunds for both concerts are available by contacting the Krannert box office at (217) 333-6280.
