Yadda-yadda: Regular Central Illinois visitor Jerry Seinfeld gets more points added to his frequent-visitor card, thanks to a return engagement set for 7 p.m. Jan. 18 in the U of I at Springfield's Sangamon Auditorium. In past years, Seinfeld’s shows, most at the Peoria Civic Center, have sold out quickly, occasionally prompting the addition of a second show. We’re just saying. For the time being, though, it’s still just one, so don’t tarry: Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday via the Sangamon box office at 800-207-6960.
Bill of fare: In addition to Seinfield (see above), another big winter comedy show goes on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, this time for longtime Blue Collar Comedy man Bill Engvall. He's set for the Peoria Civic Center, recent site of Blue Collar jester's Ron White visit, at 8 p.m. Feb. 9, where tickets are priced from $39 to $89.
Ice, ice baby: For the 11th winter running ... skidding ... whatever ... World Championship I.C.E. Racing will slip-slide through Bloomington's Grossinger Motors Arena. The motor-sports competition, played out on an oval ice-covered track, returns at 7 p.m. Jan. 6. Tickets, $8.50-$22, are now on sale via the Arena box office and Ticketmaster ... Down that same slippery slope comes another event, X-Treme International Ice Racing, set for the Peoria Civic Center at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 17. Those tickets, $6-$25, are on sale via the PCC box office and Ticketmaster.
Dice, dice, baby: Just a reminder that tickets are now on sale for The Gambler himself, Kenny Rogers, rolling his dice our way again with his "Christmas and Hits Tour," 7:30 p.m. Dec. 7 at Bloomington's Grossinger Motors Arena. Tickets are $55-$88. The holiday tour is part of Rogers' farewell "The Gambler's Last Deal Final World Tour," which has been extended into 2018 by popular demand.
