Spreading the jam: The annual Winter Jam tour of Christian rock and pop performers, will be spreading the goodness through the Peoria Civic Center Arena at 7 p.m. March 29. On board for the 23rd anniversary tour this year are headliners Skillet, along with with tour creators NewSong, Building 429, comedian John Crist, KB, Jordan Feliz and worship leader Kari Jobe featuring Cody Carnes. Per tradition, general seating tickets are sold at the door only at a flat rate, this year up from the $10 of the first 22 years to $15. More info:

Yadda-yadda 2.0: As suspected, since it has routinely happened in the past hereabouts, a second show for Jerry Seinfeld has been added at the U of I at Springfield Sangamon Auditorium. The originally announced time and date was 7 p.m. Jan. 18. And, per Central Illinois tradition, it promptly sold out. The second show is set for 9:30 p.m. that evening, with new tickets on sale at the same price via the venue box office at 800-207-6960 (if tradition holds true, those seats will disappear fast, too).

Famously funny: A good way to laugh our way out of an unfunny year is coming our way Dec. 29, via the Peoria Civic Center. The occasion: the annual DeRay Davis Famous & Funny Comedy Jam, at 8:30 p.m., featuring Davis and a cast of his comedy pals. Tickets: $39 to $99, now on sale.
