Frampton's back alive: Legendary ’70s guitar god Peter Frampton, the subject of a GO! cover story just a year ago, is headed back to Central Illinois this spring: at 8 p.m. March 28 in the Peoria Civic Center Theater. The long tresses are gone, but the mean licks remain for the man whose 1976 "Frampton Comes Alive!" celebrated its 40th anniversary last year as one of the top-selling albums of all time. This tour is a celebration of the vinyl re-release  of his 2006 Grammy-winning album, "Fingerprints." Tickets, $49.50-$79.50, are now on sale via the PCC box office and Ticketmaster.

Down home Alabama: Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday for the just-announced Alabama concert, set for 7:30 p.m. May 12 in Bloomington's Grossinger Motors Arena. Prices range from $45-$105. Also on the bill is Montgomery Gentry, whose namesake member, Troy Gentry, died a year ago this spring in a helicopter crash and who will be memorialized during the performance.

Tailgating: A slew of names has been added to this summer's Tailgate N' Tallboy Music Series on the downtown Peoria riverfront, with six concerts set on June 15-17; July 20-21; and Sept. 15. New names added to the June 15 show include Chase Rice, Joe Nichols and Sam Grow (The Cadillac Three were previously announced); June 16, Kane Brown and Dylan Scott join the previously announced Nelly and Drew Baldridge; June 17, Russel Dickerson and Brandon Lay join the previously announced Old Dominion and Jon Pardi; July 20, Keith Anderson and Ruthie Collins join the previously announced Charlie Daniels Band and Sawyer Brown; July 21, Ward Davis joins previously announced Cody Jinks; and Sept. 15, Jerrod Niemann and Whiskey Myers are the first announcements for that date. There's still more TBA in the weeks ahead. For ticket information and other details, go to www.TailgateNTallboys.com.
