President
I’d like to see a president. Maybe he would let me be president, too! We could go out and see a movie. Seeing a president would be cool.

About Flying Horse
The Flying Horse is a creative expression program run through the Pantagraph's Newspaper In Education school service. The program offers children in Kindergarten through 6th grade a chance to submit original essays, poems and artwork for possible publication in the Pantagraph's Sunday Comics section.
The Flying Horse program, in its 32nd year, has become a staple for many area elementary school teachers. The topics for each week are published at the beginning of the school year, along with submission deadlines. Essays and artwork are then selected by Pantagraph staff for publication.
For the 2008-2009 school year, Pantagraph.com will put each week's selections online, with additional artwork that does not appear in the printed edition's comics section.
The rules for submitting essays or artwork are as follows:
- All entries must come from children in grades Kindergarten through 6th
- Home-schooled children are eligibile for the program
- All work should include the child's name, grade and school (or be labeled home-schooled if applicable).
- Most artwork is submitted on 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper drawn horizontally
- There is no word limit for essays and poems
- The list of topics is available below
- Entries should be mailed to:
