ELLIOTT — Donald E. “Duck” Wilson, 80, of Elliott, died at 5:10 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2015, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
His funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City. Burial will be in the Elliott Cemetery, Elliott. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Casual dress is requested.
He was born Jan. 30, 1935, in Danville, a son of Clarence L. and Lucille Huron Wilson. He married Elaine Wells on Aug. 14, 1971, in Kankakee. She survives.
Also surviving are his daughters, Melody (Doug) Garland, White Heath, and Robin (Jim) Stevens, Kingman, Ind.; a son, Bruce (Angie) Wilson, Elliott; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Clarence (Patty) Wilson, Danville; a special aunt, Margaret Colwell, Danville; and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his little buddy, Cody.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Larry; a son, Randy; and a grandson, Danny Tomlinson.
Duck worked at M&W Gear Co. in Gibson City for 29 years and G&D Trucking for six years. He enjoyed NASCAR, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Green Bay Packers.
