PAXTON - Jonathan Weber Hustedt, 23, of Paxton, passed away Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015, at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Wisc.
His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at the First Lutheran Church, 301 S. College Street, Paxton. Rev. Debra Domeier will officiate. Burial will follow in Elliott Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells Street, Paxton.
Jonathan is survived by his parents, Chris and Kathy Hustedt, Paxton; his sister, Jennifer; maternal grandparents, Ron and Tomola Weber, Buckley; and numerous aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Kermit and Berniece Hustedt.
Jon was born July 18, 1992, in Gibson City, to Chris R. and Kathy Weber Hustedt. He graduated from Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School in 2011. He was a member of the PBL Band, and as an FFA member he placed first at the state competition in horticulture. During his summers, he worked in the research plant of Dairyland Seed, Gibson City. He was a student at the University of Illinois College of ACES and in the Crop Sciences Biotechnology program.
He was a member of First Lutheran Church, Paxton, the Horticulture Club and the Social Gaming Club of the University of Illinois. Jon was a wizard with computers, which was quite often very advantageous for his sister and others. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and taking care of his dog, Etho.
