SEDALIA, Colo. - Todd Faker, 42, of Sedalia, Colo., passed away Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, after a short battle with cancer.
He was born July 12, 1973, in Illinois. Todd was the only child of Jim and Sharon Faker. He married Brandy Goode on December 29, 2007, in Pine, Colo.
Todd was a graduate of Gibson City High School. He earned a B.A. from Eastern Illinois University and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. Todd, a lead technical analyst, was employed for many years by Trizetto Company, Denver, Colo.
While in Illinois, Todd was a faithful member of St. Malachy Catholic Church. At Eastern Illinois University, Todd played on the rugby team, worked on the student newspaper and was one of the founding fathers of Phi Delta Theta fraternity.
Todd moved to Colorado in 1995. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially hiking, camping and snowboarding in the Colorado mountains. Todd also enjoyed playing with his children and being with his friends. He always wanted everyone to have a great time together.
Survivors include his wife, Brandy; two young children, Wyatt and Savannah Grace; and his mother, Sharon Faker, Southern Pines, N.C. Additionally, Todd leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Todd was preceded in death by his father, James Faker, who passed away in 2005.
Todd was a devoted husband, father and son. He greatly enriched the lives of family and friends with his kindness and generosity.
Memorial services will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Castle Rock, Colo. on Wednesday, Nov. 18. The family will receive visitors from 10 to 11 a.m., with services immediately following.
