GIBSON CITY - The Lady Falcon basketball team bounced back from a 42-35 loss to Flanagan-Cornell last week with a 44-point win over Tri-Valley on Monday.

Behind 16 points from Mikayla Baillie, GCMS trounced the Vikings 53-9 as the team moved to 3-4 on the season.

A 24-4 halftime lead materialized into a 19-point third quarter to give the Falcons a 43-7 lead heading into the final frame.

Baillie led the scoring with 16 points, followed closely by Amber Wittemann with 15.

Madi Thompson and Claire Schmitt both added five points, while Kayla McCreary and Makenzi Bielfeldt added four and two, respectively.

GCMS will keep a busy schedule this week, hosting LeRoy on Thursday before traveling to Tri-Point on Saturday and Fieldcrest on Monday.

The Falcons then return home on Thursday for a matchup with Blue Ridge before a week off for Christmas.
