Fire destroyed a mobile home in Pontiac and a grain storage building in Rowe, Pontiac Fire Chief John Cummins said Wednesday.

A mobile home at 1037 E. Water St., Lot 19, was destroyed by a fire reported about 1:52 p.m. Tuesday. No one was injured, and no other mobile homes were damaged, he said.

The resident, Craig Clinton, was not home at the time.

The cause of the fire remains undetermined, Cummins said.

Another fire occurred about 5 p.m. in a Quonset hut at 21129 North 1366 East Road. Cummins said there were no injuries, and the hut, owned by Pat Duffy, had reportedly been emptied two days earlier.
