BLOOMINGTON — John and Barbara Fisk of Bloomington celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 11 with an anniversary party at Crestwicke Country Club. They plan a trip to Arizona at a later date.
Fisk and Barbara Horn were married Nov. 25, 1967, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Fremont, Ohio. Their attendants were Joani Horn Wensinger and Bruce Luer.
They are the parents of Mike (Seanna) Fisk and Chrissy Fisk. They have four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He taught film and TV courses at various universities for more than 30 years, retiring from Illinois State University as production coordinator of TV 10 News in 2002. He also produced documentary films and TV programs for PBS stations.
She taught art and film courses, including as the first woman to teach at Colorado School of Mines, Golden, Colo., in 1968; and taught most recently at ISU and Illinois Central College. She was director, McLean Branch, Arthritis Foundation for 10 years, retiring in 1999.
