GIBSON CITY — Camilla Lohmeyer of Gibson City will celebrate her 90th birthday with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 25 at Villas of Holly Brook, 1400 N. Melvin St., Gibson City.
She was born Nov. 30, 1927, in Anchor. She married William Lohmeyer on Sept. 7, 1947. He passed away Sept. 22, 1996. Her siblings are Ronald (Carol) Bielfeldt and Carol Boyle, both of Gibson City, and Beverly Meginnes, Towanda.
Her children are Neil (Trude) Lohmeyer, Winter Haven, Fla., and Jill Mead, Port Charlotte, Fla. She has four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She is a retired farmer. She enjoys being a volunteer and doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She is a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Sibley; is president of WELCA; life member of American Legion Auxiliary and Home Sweet Home Auxiliary. She volunteers at Gibson Area Hospital and serves on the advisory board. She served as mayor of Sibley from 2001 to 2009 and was an adult Luther League leader.
