NORMAL — Aimee Tangman and Derek Claflin, both of Normal, were married at 2 p.m. April 28, 2012, at St. Patrick’s Church of Merna, Bloomington.
Her parents are Randy and Cindy Tangman of Bloomington. His parents are Katheryn Claflin of Mount Zion and Randy Claflin of Heyworth.
The bride’s attendants were Jessica Hicks, maid of honor, and Michelle Jurgelas, Elizabeth Moody, Susan Moreau, Nicole Wall and Katrina Nohns, bridesmaids.
The groom’s attendants were Travis Claflin, best man, and Greg Tangman, Casy Scheuer, Nick Hurley, Jared Johnson and Josh Kline, groomsmen. The ushers were Shawn Emerson and Aaron Hurley. The flower girl was Bristyl Eckhart. The ring bearer was Kyle Tangman.
The reception was at Marriott Hotel and Conference Center, Normal, followed by a wedding trip to the Hawaiian islands of Maui and Oahu.
The bride is a graduate of Parkland College, Champaign. She is a surgical technologist and on the heart team at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.
The groom served in the U.S. Air Force. He works at State Farm Insurance Cos. on the catastrophe team.
The couple resides in Normal.
