LaSalle sets H1N1 clinic

OTTAWA - The LaSalle County Health Department in Ottawa is hosting an H1N1 influenza vaccination clinic from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Immunizations are for high-risk patients, less than 65, by appointment only. For an appointment, call 815-433-3366 ext. 242.

Drug court grads to be honored

BLOOMINGTON - Six graduates will be honored Thursday during a ceremony for the McLean County drug court.

The graduation is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. in the jury assembly room on the fifth floor of the McLean County Law and Justice Center. The public is invited.

The drug court program opened in August 2006 to assist nonviolent offenders become substance-free and less likely to re-offend. Currently, 48 individuals participate in the program. Twelve people have graduated from the program.

The drug court program provides intensive, long-term treatment to offenders whose history includes not only recurrent drug use but also repeated criminal involvement, past treatment failures and high rate of social and health problems.

Emerson closed for work

BLOOMINGTON - Emerson Street between Center and Lee streets closed Monday and will remain shut until sewer and street repairs are completed.
