Flu clinics open to general public
BLOOMINGTON - The McLean County Health Department has opened its flu vaccine clinics to anyone more than 18 years old.
Until Tuesday's announcement, the health department had restricted its doses to people age 60 and older and to people with a chronic disease. Those restrictions were lifted because of this year's ample flu vaccine supply.
Cost of the flu shot is $35. The health department can accept Humana Medicare Advantage, Medicare and Medicaid cards. Appointments are required. For a list of upcoming flu shot clinics and to make an appointment, call (309) 888-5397.
