BLOOMINGTON - An Oct. 27 sentencing date is scheduled for a Chicago man convicted Tuesday of the June armed robbery of five people near downtown Bloomington.
Andre Woods, 33, was found guilty after about five hours of deliberation by a jury. He was accused of taking wallets and purses from a group of people on the 100 block of West Jefferson Street.
Woods also was convicted of resisting arrest by running away and obstruction of justice for giving police a false name.
