SECOR - An 82-year-old man was killed and a 38-year-old woman was injured in a head-on crash Thursday night near Secor, police said.

Raymond L. Feucht of Gridley was pronounced dead about 7:50 p.m. at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Jennifer Cavitt of Morton was in fair condition Friday at that hospital, a hospital official said.

Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll said Feucht was driving east on U.S. 24 when his pickup truck crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with Cavitt's car about 6:05 p.m. Ingersoll said the road was icy, but the exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Police said the crash occurred east of the intersection of U.S. 24 and Woodford County 2100 East Road.
