Fundraiser to aid ailing student

SOUTH STREATOR - Two fundraisers are planned to aid the parents of a Woodland High School junior diagnosed with leukemia.

T-shirts, a 50-50 raffle and a pork chop dinner will be used to raise money for Dillon Soule at the Feb. 8 basketball game against Flanagan High school.

In addition, events all day Feb. 23 will help raise money. They include grade school basketball tournaments, a 4 p.m. dinner, 50-50 raffle and silent auction.

FFA to raffle off restored tractor

LEXINGTON - The Lexington High School FFA chapter has restored a 1955 John Deere Model 60 tractor that it will raffle off March 18 at its annual member banquet.

Tickets are on sale for $10 each, and only 200 are being sold.

All proceeds will benefit the group's alumni scholarship fund.
