Logan County Emergency Management Agency Director Dan Fulscher said he feels comfortable that all available options have been exhausted in the search for Billy Ray Eskew, 18.

"We searched by air, by ground, and by boat, and the help we received was amazing and very coordinated," he said. "We had some rain, but we also had a lot of clear air for a helicopter search, and we were able to cover a lot of ground with horses, as well."

Eskew camped Monday night with three friends near Sportsmen's Park, one mile south of Lincoln. He was seen at the campsite about 7 a.m. Tuesday, but he disappeared sometime during the subsequent three hours.

The land search was suspended Thursday because officials said they were confident it had been covered adequately, but boats equipped with sonar continued searching Salt Creek on Friday. The water search is expected to continue through Sunday, officials said.

Fulscher said state agencies, such as the Department of Natural Resources, have led the search and rescue effort, but local agencies remain involved.

"We meet to evaluate every night and compare notes," Fulscher said. "We're hoping for a break."
