PAXTON - A Paxton man has died of injuries he suffered last week when he fell from the top of a grain car at Ludlow Co-op Elevator.
Gerald Harris, 55, of rural Paxton, died Monday night at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. His funeral will be Saturday at the Church of Christ. Ford-Baier Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Harris apparently was closing a door at the top of a car when he fell during high winds, family members have told the Gibson City Courier.
More information is expected later today from the Champaign County Sheriff's Department and Coroner's Office.
