The McLean County Fair begins Wednesday at the Interstate Center in Bloomington with 4-H projects exhibiting and judging beginning at 8 a.m. and the carnival and on-ground entertainment starting at 1 p.m. | Photo gallery


Fair schedule

Wednesday

- $1 admission all day

- 4-H projects exhibited and judged, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

- Carnival and on-ground entertainment starts, 1 to 11 p.m.

- Tobin's Pizza Big Smoker's tractor pull and local pickup truck pull-off, 6 to 9 p.m.

- 4-H royalty contest, 7 p.m.

Thursday

- Young At Heart Day; visitors 60 and older enter free

- Carnival, 1 to 11 p.m.

- McLean County Idol contest, 6 p.m.

Friday

- Merchants day; children admitted for free with a coupon available at Avanti's, McDonalds, First State Bank of Heyworth, Heartland Bank and Country Insurance on Hershey Road.

- Free concert by Mark Wills and U.S. 66, 7 p.m.

- Carnival, 1 p.m. to midnight

Saturday

- Carnival, noon to midnight

- Nationwide Demo Derby, 7 p.m.

Sunday

- Free admission after 3 p.m.

- Semitrailer truck driving and contest, noon to 4pm

- Carnival, noon to 10 p.m. ("Last Blast" special, 7 to 10. p.m., $10.)

- 4-H projects released, 5 p.m.

- Music by Julian Garza, Los Cadetes and Chepe y Su Grupo Linze, 6 p.m.
