Museum honors women veterans

HEYWORTH - The Simpkins War Museum will host an open house honoring women military veterans on June 14. The museum will be open from noon to 5 p.m.

Military uniforms and other items will be on display. Several women veterans will be at the open house.

The museum has a permanent display including a 34-star American flag, the oldest flag on display in McLean County.

The museum is at 605 E. Cole St.
