DWIGHT - A Dwight woman has sued the Dwight and Pontiac police departments for what she said was a drug raid on the wrong apartment.

The federal suit filed in Peoria stated the warrant for the raid was for one apartment, but another apartment was mistakenly raided.

Catherine Short said, through her Chicago attorney Kevin Rogers, that she suffered $20,000 in hospitalization from the raid. Excessive force and unlawful entry and detention were claimed in the suit.

The woman and a companion were never charged in the raid. The suit did not give an amount sought.
