McGuire was arrested Thursday and charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the Nov. 16 death of Joshua Embry. The 26-year-old was stabbed in the chest during a fight in the 500 block of North Center Street.

Police responded to the fight at 11:35 p.m. Saturday and Embry died in the hospital a short time later.

A $1 million bond was set for McGuire, meaning he must post $100,000 to be released.

In addition to the murder counts, McGuire also faces residential burglary charges filed in September. During that incident, he was shot in both knees by an armed resident at a home on the 400 block of West Chestnut Street in Bloomington, police said.
