Oct. 12, 1958: John Moore, 92, one of Bloomington's oldest businessmen, died yesterday. He owned Moore's Luggage and Book Shop, 214 West Jefferson. His father started the business, and Mr. Moore joined after graduating from Washington and Jefferson College in Pennsylvania.

Oct. 12, 1983: Demolition began today on the former Booker T. Washington home at MacArthur and Livingston. The city bought the property two months ago to make way for the new Oakland Avenue bridge.
