NORMAL - Police released Wednesday a sketch of a man who two young girls said tried to lure them into his car May 17 near Oakdale Elementary School.

The girls said the unknown man is in at least his late-60s and has a thin face, a long thin nose, thin lips, a long chin with a cleft or dimple, protruding light blue eyes, bushy eyebrows, a prominent Adam's apple, long thin fingers and short-cut gray-and-white hair that was parted on the left side, police said.

The man's face also is more wrinkled than is portrayed in the composite, police said.

The man was wearing a buttoned-up flannel shirt and driving a car described as a maroon four-door Cadillac with tinted side windows and Illinois license plates.

He was described as having a "Russian-sounding" accent.

The girls told police the man drove up to the younger girl, who was walking ahead of the second girl, and asked her to come to his car about 7:45 a.m. May 17 on Morgan Street near the school. The girls quickly walked to the school and reported the incident, police said.
