BLOOMINGTON - A 21-year-old man injured by a knife in a robbery attempt early Sunday has been discharged from the hospital, a nursing supervisor said Tuesday.
The man, who lives in the 400 block of Valley View Circle in the Turnberry Village apartments on the far west side, was attacked on his block by two men who left him with five lacerations, police have said.
No arrests had been made in the case as of early Tuesday morning, police said.
The 21-year-old was taken to OSF St. Joseph Medical Center with two cuts on his left arm, two on the left side of his torso and one on his right arm, said Bloomington police spokesman Duane Moss.
"His attackers demanded money, which he refused to surrender, at which point the guy with the knife started swinging it at him," Moss said.
