SPRINGFIELD - A Springfield man who works part-time as a clown and as Santa Claus faces child pornography charges after police allegedly found explicit computer files at the home where his girlfriend runs a daycare center.

August Billek is charged with receiving and possessing child pornography. He's been ordered held pending trial.

The 50-year-old was arrested Monday after officers executed a search warrant at his home and allegedly found movie files depicting children engaged in sexual activity.

Officials say his girlfriend runs a day care business out of the home and watches children from ages 18 months through elementary school age.

Billek works part-time as "Downtown the Clown."

It was not immediately clear whether he has an attorney.
