Council OKs deal with Joe's Towing

Key action: Approved a two-year contract with Joe's Towing and Recovery for police department towing services. Joe's had previously been given a one-year contract and had to meet certain requirements including customer service training for all employees before the contract was extended.

The council also approved adding traffic stops at the following intersections: northbound School Street at McKnight Drive; Canyon Creek Road at Napa Lane; Chardonnay Court and Canyon Creek; Silverado Trail at Canyon Creek; Geyser Peak at Silverado Trail; Tannins Court an Mondavi Lane; Mondavi Lane at Shepard Road; northbound and southbound Duck Horn Drive at Napa Lane; Cake Bread Road at Napa Lane; Napa Lane at Airport Road; Silver Oak Lane at Raab Road; Buffalo Lane at North Pointe Drive; Wolf Creek Lane at North Pointe; Grey Hawk Drive at North Pointe; Healing Stone Court at Raab; northbound Custer Court at Vernon Avenue; Westbound Putnam Avenue at Parkside Road.

Parking also will be banned on both sides of Bradford Lane from Alden Drive to McKnight Drive; both sides of McKnight Drive from Bradford Lane to Rockingham Drive; and both sides of School Street from Northfield Drive to McKnight Drive.
