PONTIAC - A 70-year-old Dwight woman injured when a school bus collided with her Cadillac has been released from the hospital, a nursing supervisor said Saturday.
Sheila Fanning was northbound on Route 66 north of Pontiac on Thursday afternoon when a school bus crossed into her path at an intersection and collided with her 2003 Cadillac, police said. None of the 13 students on board were injured, and the bus driver was issued a ticket charging him with failure to yield at a stop intersection.
Fanning was discharged from OSF St. James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac. The bus driver was treated and released from the hospital.
