BLOOMINGTON - A semi-trailer truck became engulfed in flames in a blaze reported shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 55 just south of Bloomington, state police at Pontiac said.

The driver was not seriously injured, police said. The semi was on the side of the interstate and motorists were able to drive through on Interstate 55 at mile marker 157, but traffic was slowed, police said. Multiple fire departments were at the scene.
