BLOOMINGTON - Northbound traffic on Towanda Barnes Road was blocked from Pamela Drive to G.E. Road as Bloomington fire department and police department responded to a traffic accident at 6:20 p.m. Saturday.

Arthur Beale, 73, and his wife, Jewel Beale, 73 were taken to BroMenn Regional Medical Center.

Their condition was unknown Sunday.

One ambulance, one fire engine and one chase medic vehicle responded to the scene, as well as two Bloomington police vehicles.

Arthur Beale was cited for passing or driving on the shoulder of the road.

Traffic was flowing normally by 8 p.m.
