EL PASO - A 42-year-old Secor man was killed and his teenage daughter injured after a minivan drove in front of their motorcycle Friday night in El Paso, authorities said Saturday.
Roland D. Schieber was westbound on U.S. 24 on a Harley-Davidson with his daughter, Kassandra, 14, before 8:25 p.m. when he collided with the minivan, Woodford County Coroner Tim Ruestman said.
Schieber's motorcycle struck the front-right fender of the van, he said.
Roland Schieber was pronounced dead at the scene near County Road 2600 at 8:27 p.m. Kassandra Schieber was taken to a Bloomington hospital with a broken leg, Ruestman said Saturday.
Robert D. Boma, 51, of El Paso, the driver of the 1993 Chevrolet Astro minivan, was uninjured. He has not been charged, but Ruestman said the crash is still under investigation.
