New officers elected for United Way of McLean County

BLOOMINGTON - United Way of McLean County elected board officers, executive committee members and board members during the organization's annual meeting Friday at the United Way headquarters in Bloomington.

Officers are Chairman Don Fernandes of Wachovia Securities, immediate past Chairwoman Deanna Frautschi of Country Financial, Chairman-elect Barry Reilly of Bloomington District 87, Treasurer Bill Erlenbush of Growmark, and Secretary Julie Dobski of Little Jewels Learning Center.

Named to the executive committee were 2009 campaign Chairman Mark Peterson of the town of Normal, 2009 community impact Chairman Cory Heim of State Farm Insurance Cos., and 2008 campaign Chairman Alan Chapman, retired Unit 5 superintendent.

Elected to three-year terms on the United Way board of directors were Ann Baughan, State Farm Illinois Operations Center; Steve Beasley, Hewlett Packard; Willie Brown, State Farm Insurance Cos.; Sandra Gillespie, Mitsubishi Motors North America; Kim Holman-Short, Bloomington Housing Authority; Karen Jensen, Farnsworth Group; Bob Lakin, Commerce Bank; John Rayford, Mount Moriah Christian Church; Darick Volz, Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 99; and Bill Yoder, McLean County state's attorney.

Elected to one-year terms on the board were Erlenbush, Fernandes, Frautschi, Heim, Peter Rankaitis of Project Oz, Sonja Reece of BroMenn Healthcare, Reilly, Dale Strassheim of The Baby Fold, and Karen Zangerle of PATH.
