BLOOMINGTON - Bloomington police have sent a glass bottle recovered at the scene of a suspected arson early Tuesday to a crime lab in an attempt to recover prints.

Bloomington police spokesman Duane Moss said he did not know how soon the evidence would be analyzed.

Residents said a bottle containing a liquid and a flaming cloth fuse was thrown through an apartment window at 518 W. Grove St., starting a fire that caused about $50,000 damage.

In another matter relating to the fire, Scott Vogel, a spokesman for the American Red Cross of the Heartland, said people wanting to provide clothing for the four children displaced by the fire can call the Red Cross at (309) 662-0500.

The Red Cross has sizes for the children.
