Fourteen people arrested in drug investigation at Streator taverns

STREATOR - A LaSalle County task force arrested 14 people Friday as part of a three-month investigation into the sale of drugs at Streator taverns.

Six people were still being sought in the undercover investigation, dubbed "Operation Last Call," which involved state police, Streator police, the LaSalle County sheriff's department and other local agencies.

One of those arrested Friday was from El Paso with the rest from Streator, all between the ages of 32 and 45. They were charged with either Class I or II felonies of delivery of a controlled substance.

Authorities would not identify which taverns were a part of the investigation.

All arrested were still in custody Saturday, with bond amounts ranging from $25,000 to $100,000 and 10 percent needed for release.

Arrested Friday were Steven Tyler, 32; Nina Vaughn, 44; David Wade, 43; Edward Dennis 39; Jeanie Norman, 43; Shawn Rowe, 45; Kristine Uhren, 40; Timothy Sterling, 41; April Dunning, 43; Jason Ivy, 34; Sean Greenwood, 36; Brandi Czenk, 30; and Alterida Phillips, 32, all of Streator. Mary Ann Leonard, 34, of El Paso also was arrested.
