Car burglarized in Bloomington
BLOOMINGTON - A wallet, cash, and identification cards were taken from a car in the 1200 block of Rutledge Road between midnight and 10 a.m. Thursday, a Bloomington police report said.
Vehicle burglary - Someone broke into a car in the 1800 block of C in Northmeadow Village Dec. 16, a Normal police report on file Jan. 3 said. Nothing was taken from the car, and the car sustained no damage, but items had been removed from the car and left on the ground near the car. Some items left in the car appeared to have been moved about.
Violation - A 31-year-old Bloomington man is charged with violating the sex offender registration act. Billy Folkers of the 300 block of Riley Drive remains in custody in lieu of posting $1,000. Prosecutors said Folkers failed to register on a 90-day schedule with Bloomington police as he is required as a result of a criminal sexual abuse conviction.
