SPRINGFIELD - Gov. Rod Blagojevich could have to make a tough decision about whether to attend the opening of the Du Quoin State Fair Monday.
Monday is also the opening day of the Democratic National Convention in Denver.
Blagojevich spokesman Brian Williamsen said the governor hasn't yet made his plans.
While the opening of the fair corresponds with the convention, Governor's Day isn't until Aug. 30. The convention ends Aug. 28, but the fair runs through Sept. 3.
This year, at the Illinois State Fair opening in Springfield, Blagojevich joked and said he'd have a limited role at the party convention, where U.S. Sen. Barack Obama will receive the Democratic nomination for president.
