WHEATON, Ill. - Authorities say a Chicago firefighter who was also a girls swimming coach at Lincoln Park High School has been charged in DuPage County with indecent solicitation of a child and criminal sexual abuse.

Elmhurst Police Sergeant Steve Weatherford says 42-year-old Dennis Goggin was arrested Thursday in Elmhurst and is being held in the DuPage County Jail in lieu of $150,000 bond.

Chicago Public Schools spokesman Mike Vaughn said it was unclear how long Goggin had been coaching at the school, but said he was fired Friday.

Goggin has also been placed on paid administrative leave by the Chicago Fire Department.
