BLOOMINGTON - A 46-year-old Bloomington woman faces attempted murder and aggravated battery charges after police said she cut a man's throat with a box cutter.
Cynthia Howard, of the 100 block of West Front Street, must post $10,000 to be released from jail.
The incident occurred Monday night in the 1800 block of Industrial Park Drive in Normal, police said. The woman and victim knew each other and the battery charges referred to the man as a family member, reports said.
The man sought treatment at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal, police said.
