Cell text option helps toy drive
BLOOMINGTON - Central Illinoisans can use their cell phones to help support the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program.
Text the word "TOY" to 90999 to make a $5 donation for Toys for Tots, said Matt Drat, director of McLean County Toys for Tots. A $5 non-taxable charge will be added to your next monthly phone bill. Pay the bill in full and the wireless carrier will pass the donation to the Toys for Tots Foundation. You may text up to five times for a total donation of $25.
The program is supported by Alltel, AT&T, Sprint/Nextel, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless.

Wrapping station helps local club
BLOOMINGTON - The Soroptimist Club is wrapping gifts at Eastland Mall through Dec. 24 to collect donations for the club.
The wrapping center is located next to customer service, just inside the north entrance in the JCPenney.
