Kyle Nickrent

BLOOMINGTON - U.S. Army Pvt. Kyle Nickrent has graduated from basic training at Fort Benning, Ga. He is continuing his training at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.

Nickrent, son of Joseph and Carol Nickrent of Bloomington, is a 2006 graduate of Bloomington High School.

Joshua Huff

BLOOMINGTON - U.S. Marine Corps Pvt. Joshua Ben Huff of Bloomington has graduated from basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, Calif.

Huff is the son of Melody Tripp-Huff and Glen Bush, Bloomington, and Edward Huff, Kankakee, and the grandson of Willie and Betty Tripp and Yvonne Tripp, all of Bloomington. He is a 2006 graduate of University High School, Normal.

Brandon Hale

BLOOMINGTON - U.S. Marine Corps Pvt. Brandon N. Hale, son of David and Melinda Hale, has graduated from basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, Calif.

Hale, an Eagle Scout, is a 2008 graduate of Bloomington High School.

U.S. Army

Randy Spanton

BLOOMINGTON - Randy D. Spanton has graduated from the Army ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps) Leader Development and Assessment Course, also known as "Operation Warrior Forge," at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Wash.

Upon successful completion of the course, the ROTC program, and college graduation, cadets are commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army, National Guard or Reserve.

Spanton is the son of U.S. Army Lt. Col Julie B. Spanton of Bloomington and the late U.S. Army Col Dirk Spanton. Randy Spanton is a student at Illinois State University and a 2005 graduate of Normal Community High School.
