STREATOR - The estate of a slain Streator woman has filed a wrongful-death lawsuit against the husband, who is charged with killing her.
Police said Angela Alvarado, 36, was shot by James Alvarado, 40, on Oct. 10 inside their home after an argument. The husband, who has pleaded innocent to first-degree murder charges, summoned police after the shooting.
Three children survive.
Ricardo Tamez, administrator of the estate, filed the lawsuit last week.
