BLOOMINGTON - Many area schools were out of session again Wednesday, with the bulk of them cancelling classes Tuesday night. In addition, State Farm Insurance Cos. delayed its Wednesday opening until noon.
State Farm was asking employees to use their discretion in determining whether to attempt coming to work, saying the safety of employees was its first priority.
In addition, Illinois State University delayed its opening until noon as well, as did Illinois Wesleyan.
Carriage rides scheduled Wednesday night as part of ISU Founders Day celebration have been cancelled because of weather.
Country Insurance & Financial Services opened at the regular time Wednesday, but spokeswoman Chris Anderson said employees were asked to use discretion in making a decision to drive to work.
